Greenberg Jewelers opened in 1950 by Marvin & Gertrude Greenberg. Marvin, a WWII veteran, grew up in the jewelry business in Chicago. Gertrude grew up in the clothing business in Federal Hill. David Greenberg joined the staff and now owns and works full-time in the business. As our business grew and expanded from generation to generation, it was obvious to us that this emotionally charged jewelry business required top shelf service and knowledge to be able to answer any and all questions about jewelry.
David Greenberg, graduated from Denver University in 1972 with a B.A. in Mathematics. Having grown up in the business, it didn't take long to leave the field of Math and take the required courses at the Gemological Institute of America. Attending seminars 3 to 4 times a year is vital to keep up with the changes in our Industry.
We are members of the IJO, Independent Jewelers Organization, which is the largest jewelry-buying group in volume of buying in the world, with over 900 Jewelers strong. This allows us to buy at the best prices and save our customers money.
